“Grande sonnerie Ref. 6301”
The Patek Philippe’s grande sonnerie model which informs the “time” by a chime, came out. An exceptional timepiece is the second piece, following a super complication limited edition, “Ref.5714” produced in 2014. The models adopts a simple strike-work mechanism featuring three hammers and three gongs. The selector levers for the grande sonnerie* and a petite sonnerie** are set at 6 o’clock of the case side, in addition to a silent mode. * (the grande sonnerie strikes in each hour, the hour + 15 minutes, the hour+45 minutes. The chime informs “minutes” by melodies of each once, second and twice) , **(the petite sonnerie strikes in each hours, 15 minutes, 30 minutes and 45 minutes) Off course, this movement equips two barrels for a time-work and a strike-work, and each power reserve indicators are set at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock on the enamel dial in black. Moreover, minute repeater is equipped, putting its push-piece at the same position as well as a crown.
