"Submersible Quaranta Quattro Luna Rossa Ti-Ceramitech™"
“サブマーシブル クアランタクアトロ ルナ・ロッサ Ti-Ceramitech™”
In preparation for the 37th America's Cup to be held in Barcelona in 2024, Panerai has launched a new model in collaboration with the Luna Rossa sailing team, of which it is an official sponsor.
Notably, a new material developed by Panerai, Ti-Ceramitech™, is used for the case and bezel of the submersible. This material is processed by electrolytic plasma oxidation, which transforms the surface of the titanium alloy into a dense ceramic layer. The result is a material that is significantly harder and 44% lighter than steel, and combines the benefits of ceramic and titanium. The ceramized case and bezel surfaces feature a matte blue hue. The bezel edges and indexes have been reworked to expose the titanium metal, providing a contrast of materials.
The dial features the date at 3 o'clock and small seconds at 9 o'clock, and luminescent hands and hour markers ensure nighttime legibility. Available in blue or white, the watch comes with a blue textile strap with Luna Rossa logo and a blue rubber strap.
Case: 44 mm diameter, Ti-Ceramitech™, water resistant to 50 bar / Movement: Automatic Cal.P.900 (23 Jewels, Frequency 28,800 vph, Power reserve 72 hours)/Price:2,332,000 yen
