"Scafograph 300 MCMLIX” Save the Reef Japan Limited Edition
Eberhard & Co. has released a special Japan limited edition model based on the Scafograph 300 MCMLIX diver's watch collection to support the activities of Save the Reef, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of coral reefs.
A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this Japan limited edition model will support the activities of Koji Kaneshiro of “Sango Field” in Okinawa, who has succeeded in coral cultivation and spawning after being released into the ocean, through the Save the Reef General Incorporated Association. Mr. Kaneshiro is making efforts to expand the propagation of “Miracle Coral,” which is resistant to global warming, in the Okinawan sea.
The limited edition watch released this time features a green dial and ceramic bezel in the motif of the green “Miracle Coral,” and the second hand is accented with a coral-colored circular design. The caseback also is engraved with the collection's symbolic starfish pattern and Save the Reef. The strap is a vintage-style leather strap, and a coral-inspired NATO belt is also included.
