WATCH.SWISS, and The 160th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Switzerland Special Event in Nihombashi Mitsukoshi, Tokyo from August 14th to August 27th, 2024.
Continuing from last year, “WATCH.SWISS” will be held again at the 27th Mitsukoshi World Watch Fair in Nihonbashi, Tokyo with three themes.
In addition to the hands-on exhibition where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Swiss watchmaking and deepen their knowledge, the panel exhibition, “Imagine Switzerland”, commemorating the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Switzerland, is exhibited. This panel exhibition traces the footsteps of Minister Plenipotentiary Aime Humbert-Droz (President of the Swiss Watchmakers Association) and the Swiss delegation, which laid the foundations for friendly relations between Japan and Switzerland 160 years ago, and introduces the state of watches and clocks in Japan at that time.
In the “Swiss Watch Tour” section, it will be introduced the highlights of a Swiss watch tour that can only be experienced in Switzerland, together with a travel brochure. Please take this opportunity to enjoy "Switzerland and the World of Watches".
