OMEGA
"Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite"
OMEGA's latest creation celebrates the bond between the Speedmaster and the night sky since man first set foot on the moon in 1969. The moon phase dial at 6 o'clock features two cabochon-shaped lunar meteorites rotating to show the lunar phases of the northern and southern hemispheres. In the background, the historic moment of Apollo 11 is reproduced as the starry sky as seen from OMEGA's headquarters in Bienne, Switzerland at the time of the Apollo 11 mission. The new hand-wound Co-Axial Master Chronometer caliber 9914, developed to power the watch's fascinating features, is resistant to magnetic fields to 15,000 gauss and guarantees the industry's highest level of precision and chronometric performance recognized by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
