Cartier opens Women's Pavilion

On April 13, 2025, Cartier, in collaboration with the Cabinet Office of Japan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, opened the “Women’s Pavilion in collaboration with Cartier” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. Spanning 184 days, the pavilion highlights women’s foresight, leadership, and roles in building a sustainable society, under the concept “Toward a Future Where We Live and Shine Together.”

The pavilion’s architecture was designed by Yuko Nagayama, incorporating the kumiko façade previously used at Expo 2020 Dubai. Upon entering the pavilion through the “THE GARDEN” on the first floor, visitors encounter an immersive exhibition curated by Es Devlin. Experiences such as “THREE WOMEN” and “THREE PATHWAYS” guide visitors through the stories of three women, allowing them to connect with their voices and lives and reflect on their own identities.

Visitors then pass through an educational space where they learn about themes such as women's leadership and sustainable societies. In the final room, “YOUR HAND,” they receive messages from figures including Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, bringing the experience to a meaningful close. The Women’s Pavilion seeks to offer a transformative perspective on gender equality and link these insights to broader global challenges through immersive experiences.

On the second floor, a special “WA” space hosts lectures and events on six key themes: environment, technological innovation, education, culture, and more. All events require advance reservation and lottery-based participation via the EXPO 2025 VISITORS website:https://www.expovisitors.expo2025.or.jp/events
Some events are also available for registration via the official Women’s Pavilion site:
