“Toric Petite Seconde”
Two new models have been added to the Toric Petite Seconde, a dress watch that reinterprets classical elegance for the modern era. The newly unveiled pieces are the “Golden Hour,” featuring a platinum 950 case paired with an Akoya-grey strap, and the “Dune,” which combines an 18K rose-gold case with a sand-colored strap. Both models showcase solid-gold dials finished with the brand’s traditional grain decoration, creating a mineral-like texture enhanced by delicate shifts of light and shadow.
The watch movement is the in-house, hand-wound Caliber PF780, developed exclusively for the Toric line. Despite its ultra-thin construction at just 3.15 mm, the movement offers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours thanks to its twin-barrel architecture. The asymmetrically arranged bridges—crafted from 18K rose gold—reveal glimpses of the finely executed gear train and regulating organ through their openworked design. Hand-applied decorations, including Côtes de Fleurier and sandblasting, lend the movement a serene yet deeply nuanced aesthetic.
Case: 40.6 mm diameter, 8.8 mm thickness (Platinum or 18K Rose Gold), water-resistant to 30 m, sapphire caseback / Movement: Hand-wound Caliber PF780 (27 jewels, 28,800 vph, approx. 60-hour power reserve) / Price: Platinum 8,547,000 yen; 18K Rose Gold 7,403,000 yen
